Elif Ergin – From the Founder of Tasarımhane
The “T” in Tasarımhane, inspired by the letter “Elif” from my name, Elif, represents an unbreakable line. This line rises smoothly yet with purpose, illustrating our growth from solid foundations to greater heights—a visual metaphor for our journey in design.
Tasarımhane did not happen by chance. It was created with belief, intention, and vision. Our philosophy sees design as a universal language, shaped by years of experience.
Every line we draw holds a promise of honesty, grace, and determination.Behind every project is a team that makes an impact quietly and deeply, not with loud words, but with real results.
Tasarımhane is my signature—my personal mark on every project, symbolizing the values and vision I bring as the founder. Now, this signature is embraced by all of us. It stands for every dream we build as a team, each effort we contribute, and all the ideas we shape together—becoming a collective mark of our shared creativity.
This collective signature grows with every person who joins us, reflecting their contributions and journeys, and intertwining their stories with Tasarımhane’s evolving narrative.
My Professional Philosophy
For me, architecture is not just a profession; it is a way of making sense of life. I begin each project by first listening to the people and the spirit of the space. When designing a building, it is not just the walls, materials, and lines that guide me; it is the movement of light, the language of shadow, the honesty of the material, and the story of the space.
My design approach is human-centered, sustainable, and timeless. I value the connection the space establishes with its surroundings, the flow it adds to users' daily lives, and the details that will retain their value over the years. I combine advanced technology with the subtlety of craftsmanship, seeking a calm yet impressive elegance in every project.
My journey began in Ankara and grew with projects in Istanbul and other countries. My goal remains the same in all my work, from residential to public buildings, corporate interiors to exhibition spaces: to create quiet grandeur. Because a good space doesn't just impress at first glance, it carves out a deep place in a person's life as they live in it.

Elif Ergin graduated from Bilkent University's Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design in 1999 and is currently pursuing her thesis at Haliç University. With over 25 years of experience, she has worked on prestigious international projects and has become one of the leading names in the industry, serving as a founding partner of Tasarımhane Interior Architecture Contracting Ltd. Şti.
Her projects include the Libyan and Indonesian Embassies in Ankara, private mansions designed for statesmen, the Barovay Hunting Lodge and Chimbulak Ski House for the then President of Kazakhstan, the Petrogas administration building in Tripoli, and consultancy for the Michelin Turkey administration building.
Today, Elif Ergin continues to provide consultancy services for international projects, viewing design not only as an aesthetic discipline but also as a bridge between cultures and a means of sharing.
